Abe Zakem House

Abe Zakem House is a 22 unit rental complex located in downtown Charlottetown. It was completed on schedule in late 2004 at the budgeted construction cost of $1.5 million. The facility has 16 one-bedroom and 6 two-bedroom apartments and serves low income families. The building is built on the site of the former provincial public works garage and the property did require some environmental remediation. This great community building project was made possible through the efforts of its partners, the Kiwanis Club of Charlottetown, the City of Charlottetown, the Province of PEI, CMHC and CADC. CADC was able to help out on this project by completing the land assembly required.
