This small section of boardwalk was developed in an effort to further the waterfront walk way. Although short in length, this section allowed pedestrians to travel from Confederation Landing Park to the corner of Weymouth and Water Street. From there walkers could join with the Routes for Nature and Health that were developed by CADC in 1989. This project was started in the fall of 1997 with the preparation of the gravel base. Over the winter months the boardwalk was constructed in 10’ lengths inside the Charlottetown Wharf buildings. This portion of the board walk is .39 km long and brought the total waterfront network to 4 km in length.
